I have a question if you don't mind. I was trying to install my 3bar MAPS today, and had to loosen the stock hard plastic inlet pipe from the turbo and the air box. There was NO way to get a tool on the MAP screw without pulling UP on the stock pipe, pulling the little black plastic stud (made into the stock inlet pipe) OUT of the little blue rubber grommet (metal mount). For some reason I could NOT get it back down in there for re-instal. I fought with it for an hour. When I FINALLY got in up and back far enough to get it to push down into the grommet mount, it pushed the blue rubber grommet THROUGH the mount and out the bottom. I just couldn't fight with it anymore so I lift it.
Do these new inlet pipe just ignore that grommet mount? Is it not really needed anyway?
For now, Will it cause any issue with me running the stock plastic pipe withOUT the rubber insert to protect the black plastic stud down in the mount??
