zmw, your comparing apples to cantelopes. This system is lightyears beyond your 360 max or any other plug in detector. These are actual laser jammers.
They sell on ebay for $900-1000 used all day long, i always list here first.
Almost every car i have owned has these, saved my license many times over and paid for itself after the first ticket.
Shops will charge $500 to $1500 for full install depending on how well they do the job.

I have both, I'm well acquainted.
From a detection perspective, that is incorrect - this uses the old escort microprocessor which is far slower and more prone to false positive than the new 360 max. The laser jammers don't work with the most modern lasers which nearly every state patrol is now using and unfortunately is not updatable for new bands.
This is an 8 hour install, expect a minimum of 500$
