The TCU in the 2001 car only had 5 gearbox programs. The TCU in 2002+ cars (Item numbers ending in 03/04) have 250 gearbox programs.. This latest TCU allows for faster shifting and a drive much more akin to a PDK box.

Albert Motorsport in Germany has also upgraded the software on this TCU for the following;

Increased TQ Limits - Massive Gains Below 4500 RPMS
Quicker Shifts – Especially at Redline
Quicker Acceleration Times
Broader and More Usable Power Band


This is the same upgrade as the EVOMS upgrade (http://www.evoms.com/Porsche_997_TCU.../997tt-tcu.htm)
However this is done without the rev limiter being raised for safety reasons
