You can get a Stomski dial indicator type for 800 and just use a 360 degree wheel on the crank pulley. It is best to find a shop that has them and just pay them to do it. It is a quick job.
still need the cam locking tools for the nuts on the front of the cams. 2 different size tools

the intake cam gets a set ft/lb plus 170* and the exhaust cam gets a set ft/lb and 90*. the tools are needed to hold the cam in place and not move while another person cranks the snot out of the bolt.the intake cam has to be held at the outmost counterclockwise position when torquing the bolt. this is why the tools have **** on the end to lock into the cams themselves.
he has made the locking tools but uses baum cam plates
these tools have 2 different size diameters for intake and exhaust http://www.baumtools.com/shop/01engi...l#.WOt7lFKZNE4

that only works if the notch is in the correct position. if you allow the cam to move especially the intake cam you change the vario cam timing. having had to do this 3 times to get the timing right its not an easy task to backyard it. better to have the proper tools from the start
