I have a 996 in sunny Southern Cali. I have the hard top that came with the car when I bought it 8 years ago. The top has collected dust in my garage from that day to this. Ive seriously considered selling it but there is a little voice in the back of my head that says I may regret selling it because of some "diminished value" if and when I go to sell the car. Truth be told, the only time the soft to is up is when I'm in a parking lot that I cannot trust.

It's not taking up much space since I have it on a hoist above the car, but I'm thinking it's a lot less space intensive to store $600.

Thoughts?

 

Keep it. Might be the deciding factor if you want elk it for someone who doesn't like in as temperate a climate.
