I finally decided to sell my GT2 style spoiler. This was on my 997.1TT when I bought it and I absolutely love the look, but I want to change things up and decided to go back to the factory decklid with carbon add on. It's finished in Arctic Silver and the paint is in 9/10 condition (a couple small blemishes). There is no latch bar. You reuse yours from your OEM decklid.
The wing includes a wiring harness with a resistor added in to allow elimination of the raised brake light warning (there is no third brake light). You will still need to have your car coded as a fixed wing with Durametric Pro or PIWIS to fix the spoiler malfunction warning. It also had a gloss black "911" badge on the rear. Below are some "issues" with the spoiler for full disclosure:
1. There is a small paint chip on the right edge where it lines up with the fender (cant see it when closed)
2. There are a couple very small stress cracks in the paint just under the 911 emblem. Hard to capture in pics.
3. The previous owner cut some holes in the underside of the decklid to allow for venting of air to the stock Turbo airbox.
4. The fitment is overall 8/10. It lines up nicely but it does not close the way the OEM decklid does. You cannot just slam it, you have to place the lid down and then press down above the latch to close it.
5. Doesnt have a compartment light like the OEM decklid though the harness does have a plug for it (its an OEM harness)
6. The biggest issue..its made for a Carrera and had Carrera fan placement on the underside (I.e. offset to the left). This placement makes it impossible to run a fan on the Turbo. You could still use this on a Turbo just as I have but it would be sans engine compartment fan and is therefore better suited for someone with a Carrera. If you so choose to run it on a Turbo I recommend having a body shop fab up some way to modify the underside to work with a fan.
Due to size, local pickup only in southwest Germany. Asking $800.
