How difficult is the install process?

 

It is actually easy:

1) move shift **** to N to give you a better angle;
2) use a piece of rubber (like the rubber sheets used to help you open jar tops) to help you twist the collar;
3) push down on the shifter as to twist the collar as that helps relieve some of the pressure off the collar making it easier to turn
