I'm rebuilding my 2002 911 Turbo engine after the oil pump chewed up some bits from a few failed Variocam lifter-spring keepers (saving this for another thread)
While inspecting the cams I noticed that inside the Intake Cam Actuator housing there are 3 steel rings (per cam) with a square cross section. Of the 6 i have, 3 of them are totally worn out. The cams and actuator are fine.
Problem: The online parts diagram does not even show these three items. It's hard to tell which component to order that includes the parts, i'm assuming a new actuator. ($3000)
