Long story short my car cracked the factory 997.1 manifold (car is a simple FBO e85). Does anyone upgrade these to something better/stronger ? Also if someone has a stock set for sale let me know please. I am talking about the 2 cast metal manifolds with runners that attach to the heads not the middle TB plenum part (my car has SRM plenum with gt3 TB).

 

Sounds like you have a x51. Might help your search. Should probably look for someone to weld it.

 

What does yiur airbox look like. I believe the intake manifolds between the normal engines and X51 equipped engines are different. On rhe normal engines they're silver plastic that look like they could be metal, but aren't. Not sure what material the X51s are made of. If you have an X51 you need to get those specific ones again to not compromise the X51 package. If you don't have an X51, then you can probably find a set of stock intske manifolds from a dismantler on eBay.

 

my car is a 2008 997 turbo guys not NA. I am almost certain all metzger 997.1 manifolds are the same. its a Full bolt on car running 700whp e85
