996 headlights

Category: Lights
Price: $500
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 996 Turbo, Porsche 911 996 Non-Turbo
Location (State): NH
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

Selling a pair of Porsche 996 headlights (xenon) off of my 2003 996 turbo. I attempted to restore the headlight lenses but the clearcoat I used had some sort of reaction and it ruined the lenses. I attempted to sand them down but the reaction went too deep.

HOWEVER, the headlights themselves DO WORK. I'm hoping someone out there needs headlights and can swap over their current lenses. does not include headlight washer covers. please let me know if you have any questions

$500, OBO. ready to ship

Sorry that happened to you. I was prepping to restore my own headlights soon. Which UV clear coat spray did you use so others can avoid? Thanks.

yeah, i was pretty baffled and pissed to say the least. wasn;t planning on having to buy new headlights...
i used a Rustoleum enamel of some sort (one i actually saw used by someone on youtube) but i don;t remember the exact details. i did a much lighter restoration on the new set and just used some CQuartz ceramic coating and it worked well (and i've used in the past on other sets of headlights)

I was planning to use this Krylon UV resistant clearcoat. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00397STRW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
