Yes, it works just fine. It only adds a few horse power for non-turbo 996's, and it does improve the air flow. It also lasts forever as long as you clean/oil it every now and then.

I had installed the BMC in my 996 and worked great for just over a year. However when I got my 30K service done at the dealer, they took it out and put in a stock one. They saved the BMC filter to see if I wanted them to put it in instead, but I told them I'd just put it back in myself. Needless to say, I never got around to putting it back in before selling my 996 C2.

***FYI - I just checked, and companies like FVD sell this exact same BMC air filter on their website for $201 bucks... so I'm surprised nobody is interested for only $40 shipped.
