Aaa

i forgot to mention AAA. if you insure the house and cars together they also give a percentage kick back each year. i think the first year they are a little higher so you have to keep them for at least 2-3 year to see any saving.

I pay more than that on my M and CLS! :(

blastr17 04-30-2008 01:55 PM

There are obviously horror stories for every company but State Farm is notorious in the insurance world for giving the shaft at claim time. Anyone who has a car over 100k should stop being cheap and buy Chubb. You will probably pay more per year, but god forbid there is a claim they cover you with no problems or questions.

And I would not let my worst enemy insure his stuff with Geico. If they insured as well as they advertised then it would be a different story.

blitzo 01-26-2009 06:26 PM

All of my cars are through State Farm. I only pay $800 per year on my R8. It is insured for $153K. It has $1,000 deductable with $250 deduct on comprehensive.

msb2tg996 03-07-2009 08:38 AM

Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. Does all high end and collector's vehicle's. They won't touch anything less.

wow crazy, that seems like an amazing deal. how many miles per year does that include?

1qikctr 03-07-2009 09:11 PM

Farmers, aaa is what i have. They insure most extoic cars.

blitzo 03-08-2009 02:28 PM

i think we need to list insurance companies in the order of most to least expensive.

ogs 03-08-2009 08:21 PM

got State Farm on a 03 Murci. Pay 1800 a year for it (not the best driving record...2 points)

blitzo 03-08-2009 10:19 PM

lol nuts. how many days a week do you drive it and how many miles per year? Do you own a home? I don't and supposedly that gives you an additional discount.

I am thinking of getting a 250k/500k coverage with an $1m umbrella coverage.

$$$=SPEED 03-09-2009 01:39 PM

Allstate writes all my cars. Hummer, Range Rover , Murci and my Bentley GT. 2 tickets, full coverage 6 month premium $1700. $500k limit with $1mm umbrella, no milage restriction and you can lay up cars for winter and get credit back. Must also insure your home to have highend cars though

blitzo 03-09-2009 02:54 PM

wow, holy cow. heh the problems of not owning a home.

that is a great premium. my premium is looking to be about $2100 for 3 cars, same limits as yours but not unlimited mileage :-(

I guess I will take this for now until I can find something better. It is taking a long time to get a quote for Chubb or the firemans fund.

btw what exhaust do you have on your bentley gt?

Not sure what the name of the exhaust was. I bought it with the car. I will try and find out. Makes a deep growl when you stand on it though. Chubb and Firemans have great coverage just real spendy. I even have new car replacement with Allstate.

blitzo 03-09-2009 05:06 PM

wow not even $2100 but $2400 per 6 months for my three cars.

Roofie 05-08-2009 05:44 PM

im trying to get insured now, im under 25 with 1 violation, im getting 400 from statefarm just for the bentley gt, i heard people paying 150-200 is the realistic

blitzo 05-08-2009 10:44 PM

eh 400 per 6 months? for how many miles? what kind of coverage?

i would think that 400 is pretty good. better than me. i am paying about $2400 for 3 cars including 1 bcgt every 6 months.

i should try to get a quote from statefarm again lol.

Roofie 05-09-2009 09:39 AM

lol, i wish.
$400 A MONTH, (i am 23 and have 1 violation)
i cant find anything cheaper ;(

I'm betting you're just gona have to bite the bullet till you reach 25 friend. Few years ago (when i was >25) I had a 2003 Ford Lightning with 2 violation and my premium through State Farm was $368 a month. The month after reaching 25, it dropped $130. After the two violations cleared another $110. Just bide your time and keep your nose clean.

Best of luck

blitzo 05-13-2009 02:54 PM

also try to shop around and see what other insurance companies will quote you. i think i called about 4-6 to get the best price.

good luck.

Roofie 05-13-2009 06:46 PM

i did, my other quote was 18 grand a year

blitzo 05-13-2009 08:35 PM

hahahaha that is crazy. $400 a month looks great compared to that. btw some insurance companies might just quote high because they dont service exotic/high-end cars.
