New Brake Pads?

Anyone put on new pads yet? How many miles should one expect to get on a set? What did it cost ya?

I talked to a mechanic and he gave me the old depends on how you drive answer. I don't want to hear that I would like to hear your experience. I am hard on brakes on any vehicle that I own cause I drive with passion and speed. Gotta slow down, a bit, at the curves in the road.

At four years and 12K I'm getting oil change, filters and brake fluid flush for around $750. They told me the four filters are $400 without labor. I may wait another 10K for the plug change. I hope I don't hear anything about brake pads.

Well, i remember going through pads every 2k miles or so. Not on the CGT, that was on a track car. Also remember going through pads every 30k miles on the Honda. My guess, your driving style, the sheer weight of the car, etc means probably 18k miles or so. Of course the fronts moreso than the rears probably. And yes, it really does depend on how you drive. Take her to the track every other weekend and you'll be going through brake pads (and rotors every three pad changes) in no time

You've seen me haven't you? When I first saw the 2k thought for sure you forgot to hit the zero key. This car is so fun I am compelled to get on it a bit. I took the long way aroung to get to my office the other day sliding around every corner I could.
