ECU on 05 GT needs replacement???

So I recently purchased a low miles 05 GT. The original owner is a close friend so I know the entire history of the vehicle. In September he had all the tire sensors replaced as the batteries went. About a week ago my tire sensors stopped working. I took it to Bentley and they reset the ECU but warned that if the sensors stopped working again they would have to replace the ECU. Has anyone had this problem?

Oh Lord! Sounds expensive? Did they give you a price estimate for that? I wonder about purchasing an after market module and get performance gains. If your spending why not get as much bang for your buck?

After thought question? Is it worth all that just to have tire sensors? What about all the years we had to look, kick or check the tires with a gauge?

A good tuner can take another ECU from VW / Audi with same hardware and make a Bentley ECU from it, will save you 50% of the price.
Its a Volkswagen ;-)
