bentley bmc air filter
The more the merrier and sometimes my posts and questions hope to illicit more participation and dialogue.
I recall realizing performance gains on the two stroke dirt bikes when the filters were newly cleaned and you never noticed the drop off over time.

To all of our clients, we recommend using BMC air filters as opposed to the ones made by K&N. Prior to making the switch to BMC, we noticed that the K&N filters were drenched in oil which not only restricted airflow but also threw a code when the oil would "mist" onto the sensors. Plus, you can't go wrong with a company whom supplies to Formula 1 race teams.
Had BMC filters in about a month now, I will see how they go.
Throttle response is better but maybe that has something to do with the B dealer not changing the filters at service time.......disgusting.
Had RSC boxes fitted 3-4 months and they sound amazing, but that is just my opinion
RSC ECU map next week, should be on par with SuperSports but will report back if anyone is interested

I'll take the stock paper filter over oil & gauze media in a street car ANYTIME, without hesitation. Especially a high-dollar automobile. My experience was with K&N filters. I've never had the BMC.
There have been plenty documented studies of this subject, once of which showed the humble Delco Paper filter to offer the best balance of flow AND filtration. YMMV. The K&N's always show premature wear in oil analysis tests. I would think perhaps a dual or tri-layer oiled foam filter may do better than oiled gauze. I may be mistaken.
But no K&N or gauze for me. Again, YMMV.
