30% Insurance Discount

My Progressive insurance agent says that Progressive will give me a 30% discount if I will let them monitor my Bentley for 30 days. He said that they attach a device to the "Snapshot" port that is also used for diagnostics (my description may not be accurate - I am trying to recount his words as best I can). My two other cars (2004 SL500 and 2001 ML430) have this port according to Progressive but the 2012 Bentley GT does not have this port, also according to Progressive.

Since my annual insurance premium on the GT is $2550, it would be worth finding out if my Bentley does indeed have this port. If it does, where is it located? Any help would be appreciated.

So they get to see your driving habits right? They'd charge me 30% more if they tracked my car young the county.

Progressive--"Gee Dr.D we see 130mph in a 55 and sliding u-turns in the middle of the four lane. You think we should charge you less?"

Me-- Oh crap I lent my car to my mother that day.:roll eyes:

Sorry i can't help you with the onto on the ports.

Touche!!!!!

Actually it was a self given name after a weekend of deer hunting where I missed three deer with a scoped rifle and threw a ***** fit.

My wife drives very conservatively(read old lady) and they should give her half off. Good luck and hope you save some nice coin.

They are referring to the obd II port, looks like this, usually located under the drivers side dash........ On a separate note, try calling state farm, had much better rates on a gt for me (25% less)

OBD2 port should be just under the steering column on cars in general. I'd be surprised if CGT doesn't have one.
