Center display/audio issues

My 05 CGT is doing the following:
-Upon getting in and after setting the car for my settings (vs. the other two options using different key fobs) and driving a short ways, the screen goes blank gives the "Bentley" screen and then reverts back to another key setting.
-When it does reset it changes the radio, a/c to the other key setting.
-Also sometimes now it is on my setting but won't let me change out of the CD mode no matter if I try to move it to radio or even to a new CD.
-Car runs perfect and sits at home on a battery tender.
Any thoughts? If it is the screen module I hear it is expensive like $5,500 expensive....
Any solutions would be appreciated...

Hmmm... weird. As i seem to recall, there was a firmware update to the 04/05 (Maybe 06 too) head unit where it would not come on or some such. Alas, not sure how to check to see if this update was done. Am sure if your car was factory serviced that update would have been done a few years back. Wish i knew more.
