Dealer derails delivery of my new GTC
Four months ago, Dr. Disaster used intimidation to convince me to trade in my GT and order a new GTC. I spent hours and hours in order to create my perfect dream car. I agonized over every detail. I went to the dealer and after a reasonable time we came up with a deal. It was an Onyx GTC with a black top and Portland/Porpoise interior. Four long, long agonizing months later the car was delivered on Friday the 13th of July. I should have known that things would probably not go as planned.
I arrive at the dealership at 9:30 in order to get in an early bonding session with the GTC before they prepare the car. Everything was going just fine until I walked into the dealer showroom. Right in the center of the showroom is the most stunning Fountain Blue with Linen/Imperial Blue GTC that I had ever seen. I thought to myself “Why in the hell did the dealer make my GTC delivery so unnecessarily complicated?”. What should have been one of the happiest days of my life had just been derailed by the dealer’s action. My Onyx GTC was not ready until 3:00 PM so I had ample time to agonize some more. I kept looking at the blue GTC and the other black GTCs that were available over and over and over. My wife thought I was crazy until she saw the blue one and agreed that while the one I had ordered was great, the blue one was much prettier than she though it would be. In the end, I followed the good doctor’s advice and choose the one that pulled my pud (I think that is how he characterized it) and took delivery of the blue one. I couldn’t be happier, so I want to give a special thanks to Dr. Disaster for his counsel. And by the way Doc, as agreed earlier, your 1st payment is due in 45 days.
By the way, the dealer is Post Oak Motors in Houston, Texas and I highly recommend them. Ryan Taylor, the salesman, handled my situation perfectly just as he did when I bought the GT from the same dealership.

She is really elegant. A very classy blue with a cream interior makes her just scream take me to Rodeo Drive! Or a drive along Pacific Coast Highway and into Nappa Valley for wine tasting
Nice ride
Nice ride
just make sure you ship the car here and fly to Cali. Don't want her going across the desert and ruining her makeup

WOW!!!!! That is a rod maker.
Pardon the earthy humor but some things are very primal and elemental.
I would have come unglued if that had happened to me. I am not sure I would have had the cajones to backpedal with the dealer, undoing all my creative genius work.:roll eyes:
A car of this magnitude must please to the inner parts and surpass all higher intellectualism. You done good son.
Now let me be so bold as to comment on the advice from Wedgeduck.
Completely ignore him.
Ship the car and fly???????? It is a GT for heavens sake. "Grand Touring" means drive the car. If you are afraid of miles then by all means rollback it to the house and admire it in the garage.

Oh Wedgeduck is correct about going west to CA. Don't come over here into hillbillyville. All you hear is,"man that sure is a purdy car. Must be one of them there new Chryslers, a 300". What that set ya back? 40' thou?

I was not kidding when I pointed out that your guidance played a role in making my decision to go with the GTC and most probably gave me the cajones to undo "all of my creative genius". You and the other forum members provide each other valuable information and insight (except maybe for Wedgeduck
) on a subject that is very important to all of us. I think you would agree to "Picking the right Bentley is not a matter of life and death, it is more important than that!"

I am glad you found THE car. I like it too. Black is not the only color.
The top down really shows the great interior of that car, beware of the droolers.

I would be frightened even to consider driving those GTCs cross country. Too purdy to get bugs on

Yep, Houston. She will probably be sittin there for two weeks. You can check her out. I had her cosmetic surgery designed for 850hp plus. So after cosmetic surgery, she will be attending debutante academy and I heard you all got some mighty fine private schools.
My new hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wedgeduck - What is the physical address in Houston? I have tried to Google it without success. A phone number would be nice as well. I would like to see it when it gets here.
