What causes the driver door on an 06 GTC to not shut automatically like it would if it was halfway shut, the passenger side does it fine ?

 

I had the same issue on mine and had dealer fix it. They replaced door module and bowden cable. I'm pretty sure if bowden cable isn't damage you could get away with just the module. You know how dealers are on repairs by the book and replacing parts not needed.

You could pop off the door panel to see of the cable has snapped to confirm cause.
