Bentley FS mirror motor - where to find?

The passenger side mirror motor has a small white plastic part that is broken. Took it to the shop and the guy says to replace the whole motor which is close to $300. Is there a salvage or a place to source this?
It looks like an easy fix that I can do myself.

If u have the part number go check with Audi for price.

I just fixed my truck 12v socket as one of the hinges were cracked. $1 dollar fix with a steel pin and epoxy.

Found used part on eBay for 50pounds , item # 360567439920.

These are pretty common parts throughout vag cars. Not too sure which white part has broken off but may be possible to repair?

That looks like it!
I have to see if this will fit my FS and which side mirror it comes from.
It's sad that the only piece that is broken is a flimsy white plastic piece while the motor works fine.

I think they are the same part for right and rear but don't quote me on that.

Which plastic part is broken? Can you make a replacement from sheet metal or even epoxy to repair the part?

Wish I had a pic. But if you look at the mirror motor, there is one small white plastic arm that moves the mirror left/right and the other moves the Up/down. My one up/down arm broke.
Yes it seems like it would be super simple to replace just that arm - I just don't know if I'm adept at doing that even tho I'm a surgeon

Hi

I know your good with your hands so with a bit of DIYing it can be fixed.

Sounds like one of the motor arms has snapped so it may be possible to JB weld the part with a reinforced steel pin for added strength.
