Sounds like he had a seizure or something if the engine was racing and he was slumped over. Regardless how it came about, isn't there a rev-limiter to prevent over-revving?

In fact, you will know because I'm going to spill my beans right now, so to speak. Your shining examples of derring-do on the road have turned me into a racer extraordinaire. I now never acknowledge the speed limit, tho lightly and never in anger. I accelerate like Steven in his ex-Ferrari at every light.
And why? Just discovered that there actually is a duplicate B of mine arriving soon in the city... same color, same wheels, same everything. Now I'm free to hoon and blame it on the other driver. Now, if he only had white hair, beard and looked like a film star, I might be able to get away with it

I was driving out of another town on SR 92 and I already had my speech prepared for the officer if need be. " I thought that 92 number was the limit officer"
