Bentley GT - Miles Per Gallon

Hi

I'm tempted buying an 08 Bentley GT W12.

Out of your experience, what MPG should I be expecting?

What MPG on a typical motorway run?

What MPG around the doors in city driving?

Are there any things I new to watch out for on a car this age?

Can you recommend any extended warranty packages that are worthwhile? Except the Bentley one which is ridiculous price.

AA warranty has been recommended but I've read they won't pay for genuine parts and you have to take it to Halfords to be repaired.

No offence to Halfords I'm sure they're good at fittin windscreen wipers and radios but I do t really want them messing with a Bentley.

Thanks

both 06 and 07 got around 17mpg with normal 'mixed' driving. If all city and traffic, 12 mpg or so. Always use the highest grade gas.

Hello

I've my '08 Continental a few months now and was cautious like you having never owned anything like this before. Now it sits proudly on my drive and I can reassure you that every journey is a treat. I drive mine every day and every month or so drive from Hythe in Kent to Gloucester and back (5:00am start and return by 8:00pm with meetings all day) and it is wonderful. Discrete but gets noticed, just the right balance for me.

On these long journeys I get 24 to 26 MPG. Running to work and back, B roads for about 20 minutes and then through Canterbury to my office, I get about 18 to 19 MPG.

I hope this helps. If it's got a thorough Bentley service history and your wife/family are also willing to go for it then . . . go for it!
