Soft Close Door feature not working on driver door

Today I had the first issue since purchasing my 2008 FS, the drivers door was still partially opened when I went to get into car and it was because the soft close feature isn't working on just that door.

Since my closest dealership is 8 hours away, I was wondering if there was anything I could do myself to troubleshoot, check a fuse, setting, unplug battery to reset, etc? I tried manually pushing the door in a couple of times and using the key manually in door. All 3 other doors close just fine with some close feature.

Thanks for any advice! Does anyone know how I can get a service repair manual, I had one for my Ferrari and Maserati and they came in useful, so I would like to find one if possible.

this is quite a common issue, you will need a new lock assembly. if you call your dealer and ask them for the CD that covers all the continental models they will sell it to you ,i think it is about $30. the lock assembly is not a tuff job to do ,just remove door panel and make sure you make a mental note of where the soft close cable is on your handle.

Without soft close will the door close manually with a push or are you stuck with a door than wont shut
