I have read the comprehensive threads about more sophisticated requirements for iPod/iPhone connectivity. I just want a simple but reliable ability to play my iPod in my 2008 Continental GT. I'm happy to select a playlist from my iPod and set off on a journey. Track selection or other controls from the steering wheel would be great, but not essential.

Can anyone recommend a shortlist from UK suppliers please.

Chris, if you can find an older Dice I-VW-T/5V unit that will work seamlessly and perfectly without any hiccups. You just use the iPod to control the song/tracks. Alas, no steering wheel control yet the older Dice is simple and works every time.

 

Thanks Steven. I'll Google around and see if anyone in the UK is still selling these. I was going to buy an Audiovox Silverline Duo but was informed by a company who fit them that they have had quite a few problems with them. Do you have any experience to share?

 

If the Duo is like the Mediabridge.. the Mediabridge does 'hiccup' between choosing devices/sources if you use Bluetooth and the hard connection (as another posted in the other thread). The older Dice Electronics just works, always, every time. Yes the old unit lacks Bluetooth and you must use the device's touchscreen/control, yet does work with iApple devices and you can run an analog input to it via normal 1/8" stereo jack. I do know that if your iApple has Pandora, iHeartRadio, Songza, etc it DOES WORK with the older Dice Electronics unit.
