SEM leather dye anyone?

Read good reviews online for SEM products and ease of use.

Anyone here have any experience using their products specifically to change leather color?

Would like to match my mulliner gear **** to secondary color in my car.

Thanks!

J

Hi

How good is leatherique at changing one dark color to another?

Reason why I mention SEM is because its more of a coated finish vs dye.

Thanks

I will be using Leatherique for the first time in a week or so. Have been waiting for the right weather an opportunity. Looks like it takes quite a bit of time and effort.

Dr. D, it is worth it imho. Just make sure the car 'bakes' a bit during the rejuvenator process. Don't worry if whitish stuff appears to be coming out of the leather during this process, it's fine. Then Pristine clean and let dry. Please report back and let us know how it goes (pics too!).

Rogar-dat. Been waiting for the bake time/work time/down time. Hope i don't get that gooey oil all over the wood and glass.

It's fine on the wood/glass and wipes off. In fact some rubber bits like it BUT it is a 'wet' moisturizer and thus collects dust.

You put it on with your hand or what applicator? I have already use the stuff on my leather chaps but I thought the sponge applicator affected the surface finish of the leather and might use a microfiber in the car.?

For some people that is the smartest choice. I think I can clean my own car, fairly well.

I use a sponge and buff off any excess with micro cloth.

I find a cloth holds too much product but a sponge can soak the leather better.

I would agree but I thought the rather coarse sponge cut the finish on my chaps. I am a bit **** with this car.
