Yes most dealers stock the single ecu switchers. However the CGT has a dual ecu and requires a specific handheld GIAC switcher.

Would you mind telling much how much it cost you? You can PM me if it is convenient.

I'm very tempted to tune the car because the stock doesn't feel really fast compared to my c63.

These guys can write custom code should the need arise for bigger turbos, personalized tuning, etc.) As far as I know, they are the only company to offer switchable tuning via OBDII and there's a free app for that!

Had the car tuned over at AU Tuning in Huntington Beach. Let me first say, both owners Roz and Dave are amazing in their overall knowledge and pride in what they do. They've answered all of my questions and kept me informed all along the way.

So..... after the tune was flashed we took her for a test run (Which I will go into in a sec). Following some spirited driving noticed the unmistakable smell of hard braking. This is something I'd never experienced before even while hard braking. Roz of AU Tuning immediately offered insight, the traction control was going bananas trying to manage the increased HP and loss of traction at the wheels by applying braking force. I've had 99 problems but this wasn't one.

Took her back out, switched off traction - whoa! The power torque and acceleration of a vehicle so massive was both shocking and scary. Is this really my car? From a flat start the pull is insane! Feels like 2-3 times as hard as pre tune. 70 to 90 pulls like 30 to 50 before. Seems to idle smoother and the ability of GIAC to maximize the powerband of the W12 seems to leave nothing on the table. She has tons of torque! The powerband is strong and full throughout the entire RPM range. Drove her over the weekend and remember thinking, can't believe I was missing this the entire time I've had her. She is different in a way that is more than I thought she would ever become. This was without having to pull the motor, wait for parts, down time in the shop, tens of thousands of dollars, etc. etc. etc.

For anyone even remotely considering unlocking the potential of a 5K pound TT supercar, the price of the tune is a relative bargain and cannot be matched by any other performance mod- period!

Ive Decided to delete the cats and have exhaust parts on order. The race tune is on deck for any day I feel the need to play with 100 octane race fuel.

Considering this huge grin, I cant ever imagine pulling up the switching app on my phone to select the tune icon that says RACE!
I thought I would check back with you after you had more time with your car after tuning it. I'm planning on getting my speed tuned soon and would prefer to be able to use a smartphone app like you have.

Are you still enjoying your tuned car as much now ?

Thanks, SG

Kind of got sidetracked on secondary cat back exhaust install. Have not had a chance to fully test the new tune as I'm working on pipes and mufflers. Will test and dyno once the set up is complete.

I was told that the smartphone app doesn't work with the Bentley tune. But as far as the tune is concerned, I am loving it!

Please share with us your description of what differences in your car between stock tune and GIAC tune.
Thanks.

I'm on the fence about whether or not to get a tune. Even though the stock car has about 550bhp but I don't get the same kind of "kick" and excitement I had in the stock 451bhp C63 AMG.

When I'm in the Bentley, I don't feel like driving fast because the acceleration is so smooth and exhaust is so quite. It lacks a sense of "brutality". It is more like a refined cruiser.

Thanks.
Firstly, I finally received the flashloader a couple of weeks ago but had not played with it (don't know how to connect it yet). If I remember correctly, at stock tune there was a lag whenever I stepped on the accelerator - the power was there but there seemed to be some hesitancy. With the GIAC tune this lag is totally gone. And acceleration is really smooth all the way! I do a fair bit of town driving and this smoothness is what I really love of the tune.

Go for it. If 'kick' is what you want, 'kick' is what you'll get after the tune. I don't race/speed much but I know it is there when I need it.

Completely agree, the acceleration is violently aggressive in feel at race mode. Throttle response is super crisp as dtbh points out. Sound under load is more aggressive in a desired way and nothing obnoxious.

I'm really loving the sound of my new cat back system at idle and screaming on the throttle. Sorting through the new set up and will soon be able to add my experience with my new turbo/intercooler tubes (an absolute must for added HP (squeeze your oem rubber tubes coming off of the intake and you'll see how easily it collapses)), tune, catback exhaust and high flow intake filters.

I presume to get those data I would have to dyno the car? I didn't do that hence I hope Blackgtc can help here. What I know is that the gain is subjectively substantial - like a Bentley on steroids!
