Woke up this morning and turned on the news. The weather report of the southern states in the USA was on. They showed cars driving in the heavy morning traffic. And then it happened a Bentley GT goes across the screen. So who was the guilty party.

 

Someone who showed up to work needing a drink because it was just a very scary drive in without proper tires!

 

Nor me I have the stock hi perf summer tires.

 

I did get the chance, much to my chagrin being that I live on the Gulf Coast, to drive my wife's GTC on iced roads yesterday a.m.. I was impressed at the grip under acceleration, braking and even cornering. Of course I wasn't hammer down driving but I was able to drive at near normal street speeds and never lacked confidence in the car. I'm not saying it did not slip and slide a bit but I could easily anticipate and work with it. Reminded me of racing in full wet conditions....was a bit of fun. Disclaimer...this was at 0600 with very little traffic as I did not trust driving my car around a bunch of crazy Cajuns that have never seen ice on a road before.
