Good evening paul

i was wondering if you could show me the hie the digital speedometer works in the center cluster. I get the speed but it just shows 0. I don’t have any tpms failures and pressures show ok. I work for the airlines and I’ll be home Tuesday night. I am getting my headliner done at the end of the month at custom! I owe you dinner, they charge a little more now 😂. I think we have mutual car friends (Alan Jones)

thanks

Send me a message at pwc6t3 at gmail dot com That way we don't have to have conversations in the forum.

As for your speedo, my guess is you are seeing the average speed readout. I am thinking the 07's might not have had the digital speedo readout.

That headliner overview file is not super helpful. Much better to watch the YouTube videos showing the removal tips and tricks.

I was able to remove my headliner in about 2 hours. Same time to reinstall it.

The auto upholstery shop charged me $800 to reattach the leather liner with new dense foam.

For that price they should have done the entire job!

Have you done the headliner?

If so, how many hours did it take you to install new foam?

Sorry for the late reply. Moving/selling the house and planning my divorce party has me busy!

no I haven’t done it but the few places I ask quotes on in my area (Northwest Indiana) we’re between $500 and $700 to do. But that was 2/3 yrs ago. I guess when I had all the panels off to change the speakers I should have kept going and took the headliner down too. I was told it only takes a around 3 hours but they keep it overnight to make sure everything is good.

Hello @Randy V ,
I did mine in a few hours, although I already had my headliner out during my rebuild, installing the new foam was only about an hour job, the time consuming issue was removing all the old gray foam that had deteriorated, that took me about two hours or so.

I may do the job over again, as I used too thick of a foam, which in turn gave me a little issue around the grab handles, to thick to compress, so I may do it over, or make four red dress rings to cover the slight gap.

Johnny

Thanks Johnny.

I'll post before and after pics. Huge improvements and I can see why it is labour intensive to do the job correctly.

He used thin high-density foam that looks even better than original fitment.
