How do you repair stone chips?

It's too late to wrap the front end but after a short sprinted drive I found hundreds of tiny stone chips. Chips across hood, fender, bumper and wing mirrors.

Bentley paint being so soft its a magnet for stone chips. I don't wish to respray the front end so does any one have any recommendation for off the shelf chip repair?

Anyone heard or used chipex?

http://www.chipex.com

For future reference would a protective wrap stop all stone chips?

Thanks!
J

I have a few chips and finally did a clear wrap. It will at least keep the problem from getting worse. Honestly if you use a car it will wear but it is a shame to see a beauty get injured. I have never seen that repair system you linked and it looks to good to be true but why don't you be the tested for us all?

My technique is to fill the crater with a few thin coats of paint over a period of days.
Then flat with 2500 grade paper and polish back to a shine.
Works fairly well if your touch up paint is the correct colour, but will never be 100% invisible.
It wouldn't be feasible if your car is peppered with chips, if this is he case you could try the coloured polish. Years ago I used this on an old brown classic car and it helped mask the chips and scratches.

Hundreds of stone chips???? What'cha been doing, rally racing? What period of time did this process take?

I have already been practicing my defense speech to the officered that stops me for speeding while getting around a tractor trailer. "I ain't having a $125K car damaged by that thing". And,"It's cheaper to pay you the ticket than fix the car or loose the value in damage depreciation".

I have a few large stone chips but majority are tiny white dots over my hood, bumper, fender and side mirrors. I was going fast but not that fast during an early morning drive but didnt expect the paint to be so soft.

Let me look into chipex more and update you guys later.

Thanks

I just got my touch kit for the Bentley from Dr Color Chip. I have used their kits on my Mercedes and Porsche. It works very good. You do have to do Mutiple times to make it perfect. I had a few chips on the 911 and used it just before entering a concours. It must have did a good as we won the concours with a first place.
