Black finish on lower chrome mouldings?

I quite like the idea of refinishing my chrome lower mouldings in gloss black.

Has anyone on here actually done this mod?

How do they all come off, (wing, door, quarter panel & rear bumper)

What / how did you blacken them.

I am probable going to get this done at a local shop in the next 2 weeks, together with 3M clear bra application. They said they will take all the pieces off and wrap them. According to them, most if not all the chrome bits are held in place by a very strong adhesive. So picture two idiots peeling chrome strips off your lovey car.

I suggest you consider going with dark chrome instead of gloss black. This is what Bentley had on the Supersports. See examples here:

I checked out gloss black bits on a GT3-R and while it looked nice, i was not thrilled with it.
