2006 GT - TPMS Sensors

Hi All

I have a 2006 Continental GT. It went in to a main dealer recently, who said that the TPMS batteries were very low.

From what I have read, on my GT (2006 onwards) the TPMS sensor is a standard VW / AUDI 0907 275 sensor which uses 433Mhz.

The main dealer has quoted me 4 x £200 for these. Looking back on posts from a few years ago, it seems that others have replaced using 4DO 907 275. I have also seen people advertising 7PO 907 275.

Has anyone else been through this? Am I right in thinking that any half-decent tyre shop could replace these for me?

Thanks in advance

John

Any decent tire shop can CLONE them for about $60 each. They take the TPMS you have now and clone each one. Very easy to do too and am using clones on the 2007 GTC here. The car's computer thinks you're still using the same ones

For under $500 you can own the clone tool and get all four sensors you need. Maybe you can start a business offering clone TPMS sensors and bill the Bentley dealer for your time and parts

Video showing how easy it this is...
PS: You really only need one tool. Do a Google search for TPMS Clone Tool

Hi John

My 2006 is also due new tpms sensors in the next couple of months. Ivor at GT services in Crewe has quoted me 90 quid a corner.

That's a lot cheaper than the main stealer Mike.

Definitely don't buy from dealer.

I had bought 8 TPMS sensors in total aftermarket parts. They have been working fine for 2+ years.

The diagnostic system can tell you how many months are left in each tpms sensor
