Angry ignition lock ?

Hi to all of you

my first post on here been reading a fair bit now decide to join.

I have a problem with cgt 2004 batteries went flat recharged batteries but now I have ignition lock on dash and only starts after 10 minuets of off and on with the key in ignition switch. sometimes ignition lights come on when they do it will start and runs fine but 10 minuets of key in and out pain in ****.
start button also works after many attempts with ignition key once ignition is on will start on button or key.
sometimes I hear a click noise from the boot battery area I have noticed when I hear the click the ignition comes on ?
I have tried turning the key antilock wise to swap batteries over sometimes it works most time it don't
the problem is ignition lock light ?
any ideals guys would be much appreciated.
also I no its a bit late but i have bought a trickle charger and been charged all week had both batteries tested both ok

Bit of a long shot, but how old is the key fob battery?
They don't last forever and could be the problem.
