04' GT camshaft solenoid replacement??

If you are indeed asking about the camshafts VVT= variable valve timing solenoids, then no the engine does not need removing, they unplug just behind each head, you pop the valve cover to access the very small bolts/screws holding them in, now being you have an 04, you will have the VVT solenoid in black as pictured, notice how the older style has 4 O-rings, and the newer only 1, also the design and bore size are not the same.
Let me know if you need them, I have all 4, 2 each side, 10,388 miles on them.
