Need help purchasing first bentley
hi I am new to the forum, but here are my options
2004 Bentley gt 33k Miles - located on a car lot $39k won’t obtain inspection from Bentley dealership
2004 Bentley gt 68k Miles- private owner in Texas he is willing to go to the dealership for full inspection and will deduct price off the price of car $35k
2005 Bentley gt 66k- at car auction as is $29k
2005 Bentley 55k with 20 inch rims - at a car lot also won’t obtain vehicle inspection from dealer 44k firm
the 2004 private owner has recently done suspension work worth 5k has receipts, the others don’t have any records
which would be a bettter buy?

None of the above. A 2008, or perhaps 2012 for the updates, is the way to go. The car is inexpensive, yet those older models have some quite expensive defects plus normal repair items for a car that was $180k at the time.

When buying any used Bentley, I believe the best advice I can offer is to get an in-depth diagnostic scan performed. You must go ''below" the OBDII standard and delve into the deep-level diags. An OEM Bentley dealer will charge about $200.00 to perform this diag, but they won't provide you with a printout. They will tell you what they find, but they won't (in my experience) give you proof. Therefore, you must seek out an independent Bentley specialist with the proper equipment (e.g. VAS5054A). You should also consider doing a smoke test to confirm there are no vacuum leaks. Both of these recommendations are over and above the normal due diligence investigations.
