Door LED

Can anyone advise please ?

The red flashing light on the top of O/S door of my 2008 GT indicating the car is locked became dull a few days back and is now not functioning at all .

The locking/alarm system still works fine.

Anyone else come across this ?

Is it a common fault on this model ?

If it is just that the LED has gone down is it much of a job to replace ?
