O5 Kessey protocol ( making duplicate key)

Re: 05 B GT. Only one key do not have keyless start. If the key is read-only memory, is the adaptation done in the Kessy module? Does the car adapt to the keys or do the keys adapt to the car ? That being said, an "eBay" 2005 Key can it be paired to the existing key? Wouldn't one need two digitally identical keys in order to communicate with the Kessy protocol. With two identical keys then the adaptation through vcds (with SKC) can be done? Hopefully someone understands my query and can answer it.
