2005 continental gt cooling

Hi does anyone know how to bleed cooling system? I foolishly opened cap when it was hot and lost a lot of my coolant.

Once up to 90 degrees with cap of it starts bubbling away and I'm sure I'm missing something.

Any help would be great as im going out if my mind

Just let the engine cool completely down (overnight). With a cold engine, top the fluid off to the Max mark in the tank. Give it 5/10 mins, make sure the level hasn't gone down. If it has, refill give another 5/10 mins. Keep doing that until the level doesn't change, cap it, you should be OK.

Please make sure you add the correct coolant type. This isn't always obvious without verification of the last service flush and refill coolant type. Color can be an indication, not a guarantee .

Thanks

Thanks for the replies, what temp should the fans cut in? Also is it possible it could get air locked? It just seems the water isn't going anywhere if that makes sense.

It starts and runs perfect with no other visible problem. I just think it's not happy from me removing the cap.

Can the caps fail?

Thanks again for all replies

Please make sure your heater is on high . Try running it with the cap off and be careful when adding more fluid.. Hopefully your water pump didn't take a tumble to the worst?

I think it's OK as water level goes down when it's under Load? Also what temp should fans cut in? I'm getting to 90 and nothing. I'm turning it of then as do the want to risk anything
