Gt on Snow
I've been driving my 2005 GT as a daily driver for a few months now. This past weekend, in typical Indiana fashion, we went from 65 degrees and sunshine to 19 degrees and 6 inches of snow. I was out on the road and saw nothing but 4 wheel drive pickups braving the conditions. I was absolutely astonished at what a great all weather car I have. I honestly could tell very little difference between ice and snow covered roads and cleared roads.
The only downside is seeing the salt and slush on the car when I got back to the garage.

What part of Indiana are you from? I’m in Northwest. I put mines up for the winter as I only have summer tires on her. Thought about doing some all seasons but really couldn’t decide on a brand/model.

Great to hear from you Guys, I grew up in Whiteland, I currently live in Miami. I drove my 2015 Continental GT V8 Convertible up for Thanksgiving last year. I will most likely drive up a couple of times this year.

I live in E. WA state, right against the N. Idaho boarder. Last evening I drove home from town on some crazy slick black ice/freezing fog... realizing the road conditions only after I stepped out of the vehicle once parked in my driveway... it was hands and knees going the 10ft. from the GT to the front door of my house. The vehicle was rock solid during the drive regardless of the summer tires... no clue it was that crazy slick. I made a note to myself in the future to not judge the road conditions by the feel of that vehicle.

These heavy and all wheel drive torsen cars are great in the slick.
Btw, grew up in Marion, IN and lived in and around Indy for about 10yrs.
Remember going ring back and forth to W. Lafayette from Marion on 26 in the snow/ice in my trusty 944 turbo that was the first car I bought myself. Lots of scary 5 second slides at 60+ mph. Didn't say I was a smart kid, lol and spent many a day in traffic court in the small speed trap towns between Kokomo and Lafayette.

I’ve only had the car for about 8,000 miles. So far the service has been done at an Indy in Evansville. They apparently have Bentley experience and so far seem knowledgeable and also fairly priced.

Quick question for you guys - how do you manage washing your cars? I would imagine, with Indiana winter, salt, etc...? Do you use touchless wash, brushed, not to make any damage to paint?

I take it to a hand wash business when I do get it washed, but I don’t drive it in the winter so I don’t have a problem with salt/slush. Just the dust that’s getting on it from sitting in the garage.

I use a touchless machine wash and then hand wash and wax when the weather lets up.
This is my first winter here with it, so we will see how it goes. Of course, I'm worried about salt/slush. Not concerned enough to park it though.

You must be referring to Foreign Performance... they do great work and are very familiar with Bentley and pretty much anything else you can throw at them. I live in Newburgh and they have been servicing my cars since the mid 1990’s. Porsche Ferrari Lamborghini Mercedes-Benz Lotus Bentley etc.

hand wash only. The car washes recycle water and they use chemicals to remove oil dirt etc from the water. It will turn your brake calipers chalky and ruin your exterior rubber window trim.
