Trunk pneumatic struts

Mine are giving up the ghost and the trunk slams shut if your'e not careful. I have to believe these are Audi parts, does anyone know the Audi part number? 2005 GT.

Gas struts Boot and Bonnet

I replaced all 6 gas struts on my 2008 Flying Spur back in March.
Total cost including new end caps and shipping to me in Spain was £137.
Fitting was super easy, they work to OEM specs, in other word's, perfectly.
Both bonnet and boot lid now close like new again.
The company is SGS Engineering UK Ltd.
The chap to talk with there is Tom Radford, he is very knowledgeable and helpful in every way.
You can call him on : +44 (0)1332 576 850
Hope this helps.
Nigel (from Estepona Spain).

Thanks for the information about SGS, I've just ordered a pair of boot struts as mine also tries to take your fingers off when closing. They seem a reasonable price and glad you recommended them, always best to find someone who is happy with a product rather than just trying a generic one on the off chance it works.

Time will tell, I suppose.

Oh that's a shame Dark Green, to have had such a bad experience.
Up till now and it's been 7 months, all is good with both boot and bonnet, however if anything changes I will be sure to post any problems with the gas struts.
Take care chaps,
Nigel.
