Pressing B logo doesn't open boot...?
Is it possible that my 2005 Continental GT doesn't have the Press the B logo to open boot feature? It will open via the switch inside the cabin but the "B" doesn't respond to pressing so I'm thinking that feature doesn't exist or maybe something is wrong...?

The "B" button switch has been known to go bad, the feature does exist, they all have it, do you have the keyfob with you at the rear of the vehicle when pressing the B ?

Mine wont/doesn't work if,
a. Engine is running. b The car is locked. It only works if the car is already unlocked and for security reasons it can't be opened if the engine running. Ie stopped in traffic and some knobjockey tries to open it and run off with your Golf Clubs etc. I got my local dealer to look at it and felt a right chump when they explained the reasons for not opening. Its only take 8 years for me to find this out. |

I suppose these things could probably be changed using a diagnostic tool at a Bentley Dealership ??

Things like mirror tilting are often configurable due to market differences. But if something is the same in all markets, no so clear cut. Which is not to say it can't be done, but seems pretty logical reasons to not do it. I recall the Maserati GT wouldn't open on the outside trunk button if the engine was running. Ditto Mrs. C's Alfa the key fob won't open it with a running engine C |

From previous experience with other cars and software development in general I can categorically state 'It depends' ;)

Ok, so engine off, car unlocked, all doors closed, key fob in pocket, touching B logo still doesn't open boot. Only using switch on drivers's door or button on key fob opens boot...what to do next? I'm reasonably mechanically adept, so any advice would be great, thanks in advance...

Touching or pressing? Mine has a tactile action. You can feel the switch.

No I cannot feel any click or switch or such tactile action. Maybe it is physically stuck or broken...
When it's 'out' as it were, it's pretty flush with the chrome surround. Maybe 0.5mm of bevelled bezel. I wonder if yours might be stuck in, if not stuck out..... Perhaps some carefully applied WD40 around the edge of the bezel and trying to work the mechanism back and forth. HTH C |

I just popped outside to check mine, and it very clearly moves in about 0.5-1 mm
