Bentley GTC Steering Issue

I have just purchased a 2020 GTC, when I am in full or sometimes part steering lock there is a crunching sound and car jolting. it much more pronounced when it's cold. I have contact Bently and they advised this is common feature on the car with 22" wheels.
This does not seem right and I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

When you have the steering wheel in any car turned all the way to the stop, a lot strain is put on the pump and that can happen. When I had that problem in my Jag XK8 my mechanic told me to avoid holding the wheel to the stop for more than a few seconds.
