It doesn't because the acoustic design parameters and goals have been different. It's a GT with a bias towards luxury feel, not loud rip-roaring bravado. The W12 configuration is unique, too, so replicating whatever you might look for is a matter of re-designing the exhaust. You can make it loud with an aftermarket exhaust, no doubt about that.

As far as a complete engine swap is concerned, anything is possible as long as the transplant physically fits and either the drivetrain is swapped accordingly or the new engine is mated to existing transmission and torque converter, by adapter plates or a new/custom bellhousing. Electrically and electronically it'll probably need a lot of work, including but not limited to a standalone engine (and transmission) control unit(s), wiring and interfacing everything sufficiently to other electronics to prevent an array of error codes and having the car run at all in the first place.

It's difficult to see the juice being worth the squeeze but even crazier transplants have been done so it's a matter of how much you really want it and who is going to perform the swap. It'll be nothing short of a nightmare, that's for sure. The price of a brand new Hellcat engine is just a tiny fraction of the final cost.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah that does sound awful. If I did do it I would replace the engine, transmission and drivetrain. I wish I could just get rid of all the electronic crap and just have a simple set up lol

Right now most of the electronics are killing my batteries and figuring out why is sounding like a head ache as well.

Unfortunatley, you can't just use any transmission.
It has to be a transaxle due to the position on the baulk head and steering rack.

A rear wheel drive conversion is possible but to keep it 4x4 will take a huge ammount of work.
Keeping the ZF6HP26A trans and using an adaptor plate to make it fit your new engine is the best option.
You can get stand alone trans control module. But you still have to make all the modules including the new engine and trans module talk to each other.

In my humble opinion you will spend an enormous amount of time & money to create a Frankenstein car that will always have problems and be worth close to $0. Why a hellcat engine... the W12 isn't powerful enough?

I feel like since my car has over 90k miles this motor will cause the same amount of problems for example if the starter goes out don't you have to remove the engine just to replace it? But i guess you are right, I should just rebuild this engine and tune it up. Also, guys I have an another post, im trying to buy some spark plus and coils and was wondering if there Volkswagen phaeton ones work.
