Those of you that have had ECU tuning done, please post whether:

#2 who did the tuning
#3 Ballpark cost if you wish to share
#4 Did you also have the trans tuned
#5 Year, model, & miles of your car

Thinking that this info would really help those contemplating ECU and TCU tuning before they leap into the unknown-Than You for your feedback!

Yes. Paid $750 for a VRTuned tune that gave +120HP and TQ. Worth every penny. Trouble free and easy to do yourself over the phone with their tech. Year/model doesn't matter, they all work the same with mappings specific to the car.

Yes, you can feel the difference in the drive right away.

Thanks, just the info I'm looking for. Was this with a handheld that is installed via OBDII port?

 

Yep, received a little device that plugs into the obd port and needed a window laptop with some software and the tunes, which came on a USB stick. Plugged everything in and I think the car was in accessory position. Basically pick a few settings in the software, connect to the ECU, select the tune files and let it do a firmware update type thing. Didn't need to be on the phone with a tech, but their online instructions weren't well written.
