I am looking for a flush look that replaces the existing socket. I settled on this one since the Bentley lighter has a 25 MM hole and this requires a 22MM hole minimally. My existing socket is worn out so it needed replacement anyways

I was looking at doing something similar until I changed to the Grom Audio kit and I have usb via that now. But I did buy a USB replacement like the one you have but just never fitted it. You need the cigarette removal tool I think, its just easier with it and pennies to buy. Tool

 

I am not spending time doing the refit. Sending the 2 usb ports and car to my mechanic. He will remove the center console, remove the entire cigarette lighter housing and replace it with the USB one and wire it up. That is a pretty nifty tool though.

 

And if that universal tool doesn't work you can get the VAG specific one for only $380!
