I started to tackle this project after some time and finally pulled the module out. I need to replace the harness and ordered one with a pigtail connected. Once I pulled the tesa tape back, I noticed the one I received 1. The colors are off (no big deal) and 2. It has two brown wires that are fused into one. But on the plug still connected to the car, it doesn’t (unless I didn’t peal the tape back far enough but as you can see, it’s within 5 inches on the new plug). With the color difference, I can just trace each one and match them up plug to plug. But I’m a little worried about the “two for one” brown wire. I don’t know if it’s model specific but mines is a Mulliner if that even matters. I just want some type of feed back before I continue on or if I should look for another plug that matches mines.
Thanks
So I received the pump with the harness today and it looks promising. Colors match up and I start to make my repairs. I get to this row and find out the new plug doesn’t have a wire there. I’m in need of a diagram as I don’t know if this wire is for something or just in the plug and isn’t terminated to anything. Going from right to left, it’s seven up and one in.
Thanks
Finally was able to finish the wiring. As I stated I have one lest on the original plug that would be pin 20 according to IETIS. I’m really unfamiliar with this program, and in the program it says for “Pin 20”:
Size 0.5mm
Color/colour YN (Yellow/Brown, my new one doesn’t have a wire in that spot).
Description: X00085 (Left -hand drive main body loom to left- hand drive facia loom plug and socket17-way).
I’m just trying to see if this wire is of importance or can I just tape it off and finish it off with tesa tape and move on to the next project (changing out the air compressor pump).
