One of my best friends owned an Alpina Z8. Loved that car.
Here I am in the passenger seat, oh, about 5 years ago before I had my drivers license. #154/555

I have a lot more if you're interested. It was a very fun, unique, and exotic car. I am sure the regular Z8 makes more sense - more power, 6MT... But the Alpina touches are truly stunning in my opinion. Such a sweet sound, too.
Aside from it's plastic rear window, I think it's a timeless design matched with impeccable detail and engineering. Not a bad investment, either... I remember a picture a few years back of Beverly Hills BMW - they had an Alpina Z8 with a $152K sticker, with a $152K market adjustment... That's right, sold new for $304K (actually I'm not sure what it sold for, but it wasn't there for long).

Spend some time poking around here.

Make sure any car isn't affected by the dreaded frame issue.

Aplina wheels are just gorgeous for that car - couldnt be better - regardless if you get the alpina edition or not, get those wheels and put a standard bmw center cap instead of the alpina one
