ZRW is infamous around these parts
Thumbs up

Interesting document, thanks for sharing.

So, the M3 with DCT is about 45lbs heavier with a 165lbs driver on-board.

The gear ratios are more interesting.

DCT, with the extra gear, has significantly higher ratios in 1st/2nd/3rd - does this mean it will accelerate better to 100mph?

Upto 62mph, the DCT puts a 0.2s gap on the manual, so I am guessing by a 100mph, it's going to get wider...

Probably is going to be faster on the track. And logically, in delimited mode, the extra gear should give it the higher top speed.

Interestingly the document also claims that it will be more fuel efficient than the 6-speed.

Functionally, it appears to do everything the SMG2/3 did - drivelogic, 7 gears, , launch control, hill control.

Obviously, the dual-clutch actuation will make it shift significantly faster.

I'd tick the DCT option on my order. And that's the Cliff Notes version gentlemen.

Cheers,

Zubin.
