You never gave any criteria. Is this a sports car or a DD?

Performance wise the GTR is going to destroy the other choices. Its probably the one I would go with if you dont need the extra seats or space that the Bimmers have.

These car are all in different classes. They are apples and oranges. What are your needs? Is this going to be a DD or weekend fun only?
How much room do you need (kids?).
So you need to pin it down a little.
I have an M5 and love it. It's a DD and dinner and outings car but yet it kiss ***. Even though very modified it is still comfortable for DD and the wife. To me I call it ,"luxury on steroids".
The Nissan GTR is in the Porsche TT class, 2 dr. coupe. Though the new M3 will be great it can not compete w/ the GTR.
You may also consider the M6, lighter and a tick faster than the M5, for the most part
My M5 is so comfortable and is a killer. 1/4 mile of 11.6 sec w/ 126 mph trap speed. I love it.

Good luck and happy motoring,

GT3Ranger

GTR - nothing new with M5, or 6 series - M3 is nice, but there will be plenty of them around

Two completely different cars.

What are your needs/wants... Besides DD.

The only similiarities between the two listed is that they're fast and sporty. The GT-R is faster...

Can you wait for the GTR? Do you need the extra doors on the M5? Do you want an auto or manual? Are you on a list for the GTR or do you mind paying over MSRP? Do you want AWD or RWD? Do you want a NA engine or a FI engine? Answere those and you will have your answer... Though personally, I would go with the GTR, and have! I have one on order...

What details do you have about the GT-R? Which dealership did you go through? The couple dealerships I inquired with were not too helpful...

I don't have many detail as of now. I think the GTR is going to pretty simple. Choose your color, premium or non premium package and thats it (as far as I know). My dealer will get back with me when he has more info on everything. You should probably see the first ones on US shores sometime this summer but that really is all I know. My dealer is taking a $1000 fully refundable deposit that I can get back at ANY time. I am going in tomorrow to finalize everything and after I do, I will shoot you a PM with the name of the dealer and everything.
