325i after 7 winters....
Look at my surprise after 7 winters... I was washing the car when the mirror cover fell on the ground. The corrosion was so dense it broke the cover clips on both sides. I had to remove the corrosion (handfull of it) with metal brush on a high speed drill and after I had to applied grease on the casting (what was left of it) and seal the cover with RTV. The mix of road salt and mirror heating system activate the corrosion I guess. Hope BMW took care of this on the newer model....If you come to Quebec in winter take your wife car
