SoCal BMW Dealers

Just wondering what kind of discounts people are getting from socal dealers. I'm looking for a 535i. Got offered 10% off list price straight off the bat, so what should I be shooting for? Thanks.

Dealer's are hungry. $1,000 over invoice is not unreasonable.

BMW profit margin is less than 10% for new car i think. therefore, 10% off should automatically be better than 1k over invoice.

Thanks for the replies. I was calling around yesterday and it seems like most places were willing to go $400 over invoice without any problem, but I think 10% is a better deal than that.
